It’s been awhile- so get to know us

Thank you for being our customer! Truly- sincerely- I mean that! In this global world – where the internet provides endless choices- the fact that you are here at The Purple Painted Lady is huge! That’s me, Trish in front of the shop. I am the lucky one who gets to work this incredible team below!

I promote that we offer the best customer service in this industry. In fact- just read the post HERE to understand how I feel about customer service and my expectations on how we serve you. I believe strongly in customer service, but The Purple Painted Lady would not be what it is with out all the lovely ladies that are part of our team in little ole’ Palmyra, NY.

I am extremely grateful for them and they all possess unique skills and talents that compliment one another and when added up as a whole- make us pretty awesome. So, this post is dedicated to them! I will be adding more photos and bio’s this coming week, but for now………

THIS IS AIMEE:  Let me introduce you to our Amazing Aimee, Curator Extraordinaire! If you have ever walked into The Purple Painted Lady and thought, “Wow! This is pretty.” It is all because of this chick! Aimee has the unique talent of taking a pile of random “stuff” and making it look like we intentionally purchased it to all go together. She inherited this superpower from her beautiful mama, Kim.  Aimee is also very well versed in Chalk Paint® by Annie Sloan and has painted a kitchen or two or twenty! Aimee is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet. She has a huge heart, cares deeply and is an avid blood donor with the Red Cross! I would want her blood since Aimee is a big time runner and I bet her blood is filled with superpower hemoglobin! LOL Aimee is a born nurturer and in my opinion, an incredible mom! She adores her family and enthusiastically – has always wanted to be a mom. Aimee is the type of person you want as a friend and I am lucky because not only is she one of my best friends, but I also get to work with her!  She is creative and always willing to try anything! Aimee knows all the best places to go out to and makes the best meatloaf you will ever have! Aimee wears many hats here…..procurement, merchandiser, customer support, painter and order packer. If you are part of the team here – you will quickly know- you wear many hats. Thanks again Aimee for taking that workshop at The Purple Painted Lady all those years ago and not running away when I approached you about joining my circus!!!!

THIS IS JESS! We’d love to introduce you to Jess who is part of the TPPL team! Jess is dynamic and plays a double agent role around here since she also amazingly manages our seasonal event barn called Fig Hollow Barn. Jess is an artist and did a pop up in front of our old shop. Trish liked her vibe so much that she pestered her to join our circus! Jess had a moment of weakness, and well, the rest is history! Jess is passionate on supporting a charity called Dear Jack Foundation which provides quality of life programs for adolescents and young adults with cancer. Jess sells items she makes under the name Love For Leukemia – which you can find on etsy. To date, Jess has raised almost $85,000. (a standing ovation is well deserved here!) Jess also loves her family and is an amazing mom. She will create these elaborate themed parties for her daughter Cali’s birthdays. (I mean, like in over the top details and decorating) In fact, I wish I had Jess for a mom decades ago! Jess is super into music, going to concerts, traveling and interior design. The photo of her with the dolphin was taken on a trip about a year ago, and I believe she said it was one of her favorite days alive! Her love for music clearly was inherited from her dad! Jess helps us here at the shop with packaging but …..we like to joke that Jess was born with this special chromosome that gives her exceptional organizational superpowers. She can walk into a space that is pure chaos and easily compartmentalize to make sense of it all. By the time she spins around, everything is bundled, toted, and placed in a space that is neat and easy to find. We always think she must be purging items but she is just a master at organizing! Jess is also, the operations and event manager at our beautiful 85 year old barn called Fig Hollow. Primarily we host weddings but in 2023, we will host some additional various events and a couple music concerts. Jess is impeccable with supporting the brides and grooms and managing the most finite details to make experiences there – absolutely perfect! Her event coordination skills are on pointe! She is extremely valued and appreciated!

Meet Lori: Lori is our funky junk facilitator! She is a local artist, who loves color and all things creative! Music, art, are totally her vive……..you will absolutely enjoy spending some time with her. And a little background, Lori happens to be a school bus driver (lucky kids) and lived in NYC for a good portion of her life. But we’re super glad she moved to upstate NY! She has painted nearly every surface in her house and will be happy to set you on a fun painting path. If you are adventurous- then she is ready to go 120mph with you. If you are hesitant, maybe unsure of the paint process, she will hold your hand and guide you at the speed and style that is your comfort zone.

This is Ari!  The one taking the selfie with the big smile!  First, it is serendipidous on how life works out.  Ari has lived around the corner from me for years and we had never met!  I posted an ad for some help at our annual festival and she responded.  Lo, and behold, who knew I was meeting my next Shipping Manager!  A breath of fresh air, she is.  Ari came in and in two months learned what takes most years.  She is a dynamo and I would challenge a Navy Seal to keep up with her work ethic and loyalty!

Ari is a “boy mom” and loves her family and hubby fiercly And her family circle includes her furry babies that she is also pretty busy with because she has a huge heart and has taken in quite a few who needed to be rescued.

In her spare time, she loves hosting gatherings at her home with all her son’s friends.  A happy home is one filled with lots of laughter and activity!

Chloe:   Chloe is standing to the right of Ari above in the photo.

Chloe is super artsy, loves all things nature and her “anatomically correct” floral and antomology tattoos prove that!  And who knows, maybe someday, a future business partner on a flower farm dream we often talk about starting!  Did I mention she was the first woman in her BSA Troop to obtain being an Eagle Scout?  Well, she was!  Much to the inspiration of her mom, dad and brother!  And now, she is still very active with BSA, volunteering and mentoring the next generation!  Chloe has been with us since she was in high school!  She is a key part of our business operations and is crucial to our new IOD releases and shipping also.

And …..  let’s introduce Tracy- she is to the left of Ari. Both of our families have been good friends and our daughter’s best friends, for like….. a very long time!

Tracy is a girl mom and….. a cat grandma.  Meow!  She has an incredible family and they all love to play board games.  And hey, just for fun, they also like to experiment to what happens to random objects in a microwave!  No joke!

Tracy’s outlook on life is always full of sunshine and she enjoys spending time with her friends.

Next we have Sara.  Yes, she is crazy and loves to climb trees!  Or, pallet racking, LOL. Sara is amazingly enthusiastic and has a tremendous amount of energy!  She is a dynamo in our warehouse and wicked necessary for running our annual festival.  Sara helps me have sanity!  She’s spunky and has been a life saver, in more ways than one! And get a load of this….Sara’s daughter Alayna is now part of our team too.

And- I still need to share about Alayna and Alex…so stay tuned!

But at least you know that when you order from The Purple Painted Lady® – you are supporting all of us! : )
