To all of our friends in Oklahoma- our heart breaks for you and the devastation & loss. You all must come from generations of strong survivors, but this cross was seriously more than any one community should have to bare. Know that we care and our prayers are being lifted up for all of you! Rose Kennedy said, "Birds sing after a storm; why shouldn't people feel as free to delight in whatever sunlight remains to them?"

Hey Maryam Mehdikhan...did you know we have a Paint Mixer Tool on The Purple Painted Lady website to play with various ratios of Chalk Paint® colors to see what the end result would look like? You sent me a photo of a garage door that you liked the brown color of - here are 2 possible ideas: And feel free to play with this tool yourself! Here is a link to it=> http://www.thepurplepaintedlady.com/paint-mixer/
I used chalk paint for the first time recently and redid my table. I left too much of the dark wax on the table. I would like to rub it off but it is very difficult at this point. Is there an easier way to get it off now that it is dry?
Hi Trish,
Does Annie Sloan have any brown color? Can I mix anything of the colors to create brown? If not, can I use a little of Kelly more brown to Coco and Old Ochre to create brown?
Thanks for your help,
Maryam
What is the cure time for the clear wax? What exactly is "curing"? Thank you.
Tricia, Just wanted to let you know I have another commitment for the date of your Barn Sale. I'm trying to find someone to fill in for me so that I can vend at yours. So sorry for the delay. Do you still have spaces??

Any tips on getting white dots off an almost finished piece? Painted table top graphite, clear waxed and then dark waxed, now I see white pin head dots!

Hi, Trish!!!! I just finished making a kitchen island out of an old dresser and I painted it with Miss Mustard Seeds "Ironstone" milk paint I purchased from you. I thought I would share a pic. I have an album with the entire transformation. I also wanted to thank you so much for my surprise! That was so nice of you...you're awesome!!! :)

Hello Miss Purple Painted Lady!! I wanted to share this pic with you. This is a piece that I did using Annie Sloan's Graphite where I added India Ink (per the instructions on one of your posts!!) and here's how it came out. It's actually a bit darker in person. I'm very pleased with the results with getting a blacker black and the client loves it!
Just wanted to share and thank you for the great tips you always provide on your blog!!!
Hey there. Questions for you . . . what do you think of the round bristle brushes you attach to a drill for buffing wax? I will be painting my large dining room table, 6 chairs and a large hutch with ASCP. If those brushes work, it sure would make the job easier. I would rather have it done right, though.
great page love your items. A new like from FL
