Any tips on getting white dots off an almost finished piece? Painted table top graphite, clear waxed and then dark waxed, now I see white pin head dots!

Hi, Trish!!!! I just finished making a kitchen island out of an old dresser and I painted it with Miss Mustard Seeds "Ironstone" milk paint I purchased from you. I thought I would share a pic. I have an album with the entire transformation. I also wanted to thank you so much for my surprise! That was so nice of you...you're awesome!!! :)

Hello Miss Purple Painted Lady!! I wanted to share this pic with you. This is a piece that I did using Annie Sloan's Graphite where I added India Ink (per the instructions on one of your posts!!) and here's how it came out. It's actually a bit darker in person. I'm very pleased with the results with getting a blacker black and the client loves it!
Just wanted to share and thank you for the great tips you always provide on your blog!!!
Hey there. Questions for you . . . what do you think of the round bristle brushes you attach to a drill for buffing wax? I will be painting my large dining room table, 6 chairs and a large hutch with ASCP. If those brushes work, it sure would make the job easier. I would rather have it done right, though.
great page love your items. A new like from FL

Have you come up with the perfect turquoise color in ASCP? I love the Florence but it's a bit too green for the "cowgirl" type turquoise I'm looking for. Thanks!! BTW...LOVE all your tips and help!!!

Color Mixer Tool! Here is the link- I hope that this tool is helpful and feel free to share it via your Facebook page or Pinterest Boards. http://www.thepurplepaintedlady.com/paint-mixer/
This Paint Mixer is meant to be a playful tool that allows you to get an idea of what a custom color will look like when you mix multiple Chalk Paint® colors.
This tool is not an accurate, exact representation of an outcome- but mathematically it is pretty darn close! Your monitor quality does play into that equation. And just remember - nothing compares to working with your local stockist and playing with real Chalk Paint®. With all that said…I hope you have fun using this Paint Mixer! •.¸¸♥ ¸¸.• Trish - The Purple Painted Lady

The Purple Painted Lady welcomes Original Lake Farm Primitives to both our 9/21/13 Barn Sale & Junk Jubilee and also- to our new Macedon Shop opening in June 2013! Her vintage & primitive creations are all hand made & up-cycled.
Question? After applying the Clear Wax, then do you sand lightly or before you apply, OR Both? I sanded my piece before the Wax, and its smooth, but then yesturday went to buy more supplies and there was a pice that was like glass. Thanks so much for the input. Half Moon Antiques

Paint Mixer? We sell Chalk Paint® decorative paint by Annie Sloan and Miss Mustard Seed's Milk Paint. I think you may have seen our fun virtual software tool that allows you to play around mixing MMS Milk Paint colors in different ratios. Later today we will provide a link to a paint mixer for the other paint noted above! Hello there i'm Steve from Bendigo Antiques and Collectables and i found your page and thought i'd say G'day.
I gave you a 'LIKE' and hope you'll drop by and check out some of my wares ;-) Warmest Regards
Hi there! I was told to come to you for all of my chalk-paint questions! I recently did a table for a client of mine- just the top of an oak table. I used the AS Emperor's Silk and then used 2 coats of the AS dark wax. It turned out beautiful, BUT, it is absorbing food stains (her son dropped some butter on the top and the paint is lifting). I know it takes a while for the wax to cure, but, since it is her kitchen table that has a lot of traffic, should I put something else on top to protect it better?
